Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) is the world leading gravimetric technique for studying water and organic sorption/adsorption on particulate materials. Invented by Surface Measurement Systems (SMS) in 1994, DVS revolutionized the field of gravimetric moisture sorption measurement, replacing outdated, time and labor intensive desiccators methods with intelligent computer based instrumentation; both orders of magnitude faster and more accurate than desiccator methods. The DVS family of instruments are designed, developed and produced by SMS and all include the SMS UltraBalance at the heart of the system.
